Going Away

I shall be going away Thursday evening for a couple of weeks back to N.Ireland to see my mum. So don't think I will have too much to show in that time. I will however beable to use my sister's and brother's PC's when I am visiting them. My sister is a crafty one too, so maybe, just maybe I will get some crafting in LOL. So don't forget me :) while I'm gone :)

Now as you know over at tjc's forum, Traci sets an inchie challenge every morning. Well she has added a bit of a twist this week. She gives the theme for each inchie everyday as usual, but at the end of the week we wil have to make a project from all of them Hmmmm, sounds interesting doesn't it. I have made yesterday's and todays, but not going to show them until the project is completely finished. :)Pop over there if you fancy taking part. :)

Well peeps have a good one :) I'll try and keep up todate with my blog visits. :)

DCM Dare and Fat Freddies Challenge

DCM wrote "My dare this week is 'Foiled!' -I would like you to utilise some plain old aluminium (aluminum for our friends across the pond!) foil from your kitchen :). You can scrunch it, die cut it, emboss it, ink it, coil it, cover chipboard - or anything else that you choose!"

And for fatfreddies the challenge is to make a shaped card using a stamped image on it somewhere.

Here is my take - the one card for both challenges.:) I used crafty template for the cup cake, used corroguated card for the base, mirri card which I put through the cuttle bug embossing folder. Foil on which I stamped hearts and the other hearts are embossed with cuttle bug folder too. Ribbon to finish. The whole card is cut at the top section in the shape of the delicous delights of the cup cake. :)

Caardvarks Challenge

Are you ready for a new challenge? We were! We loved this one --- create a card using either BLUE tones OR a celestial design! That is what they asked to do. ;)
Here is my take on the challenge......

The wee house is from free downloads of Marieke Vermeulen, I decoupaged it and the sun for a nice effect. Used white souffle pen for the writing. :)

Thanks for looking.

Here is my Maze Book and Bracelet I have made for the challenge over at 3C's. This was my first bracelet I have ever made and enjoyed doing it - very pleased with it.

Here is LO I have done from a sketch over at craftdiners

And last but not least - I have just found out that I have won the lovely Susieb's blog candy - yayyy, that has really made my day. Thank you Susie :) :) :)

DCM - The dare this week is

Hide & Seek
I'd like you to make a card which has a hidden component of some sort.
The hidden part could be a tag, a concealed photo, message or something along those lines, maybe a pull-out or pop-up.
Anything goes as long as there's something extra for the recipient to find on your card that's not immediately visible when they open the envelope.
This is a pull-out card and think it fits the bill for this challenge well.

Blog Candy over at....

Susie is kindly offering blog candy for a card with the word 'SWEET' on it.
Here is my entry for the card. I used a square from an old plastic tablecloth, mounted it and used inks and the letter for So Sweet. ;) :)

ALSO here is another challenge entry for PCJ. This weeks challenge was to use 4 squares. So I decided to do another LO for my son's scrapbook. :) Yeaa another page done.

AND for good measure here are 2 ATC's I have made for a swap (also over at PCJ if you fancy joining). This theme is Oriental. :) :)

Thanks for taking the time to look, much appreciated. :) :)

DCM Challenge...

I want you to create not just one but TWO cards ! But wait........there's more ! I want both cards to contain the same embellishments and papers, ribbons etc- but arranged in a different way for a different occasion.

Here are my takes on this challenge - but, have just noticed they are meant for different occasions - mine are both for the same occasion.LOL

Over at PCJ this week the challenge is to make a card without using anything sticky. Here is my take on the challenge. Got out my trusty sewing machine (haven't used it in yonks!) I used large brads for the centre of flower and to one petal. Sewed embellishment and ribbon on blue bazzil card stock and then sewed that onto the card, finished off with stamped greeting and inked edges with silver.

AND over at tjc forum Traci posts a coffee break 'Inchie Chellenge' every morning. Todays challenge is to use a stamp. I managed to make a card using the inchie. Here's my take on it.

Caardvarks Challenge

Over at Caarvarks this week the challenge is a CardMap and here is my take on the map. I have played around with the layout and came up with this. It is looking a tad bare at the moment because I have to add the Greeting and persons name to it. It is for a mechanic with a sense of humour, so hope he likes it. :)

New Year, New Baby

My friend in work has just had her first baby and it is a boy. She left work on Monday 31st Dec hoping for a couple of weeks lie ins......but she had her baby boy on Thursday afternoon - 2 weeks early!! Bless!, Both are well and the baby's weight is 5lbs 6ozs, no name as yet.

Now, this ties in well with the DCM makers challenge - New Year, so do something new, ie new home new baby etc.

So this is my entry for their challenge. I have decorated the bothe side of the card/book because the front side is all the lovely bits you do to a baby card and on the back-side are few embellishments but lots and lots of space for everyone in work to write their own personal message to the new proud parents. :) :)

Well off we went in our fancy dress last night and we had a jolly time. :) Me and my neice went as angels and my DH went and friends as convicts, another of my friends went as Dolly Parton. Here are a few pics to give you the idea of the night. I did loose my halo LOL through the night, but acquired a wand!!
