Hope you enjoy it ( first time doing this too). Perhaps you could link me on your blog if you use the paper. Thanks. :)

Would love to see what you do with it. :)

I should have posted it in the post below but forgot with all my excitement LOL.
In the post below is the card I made using this backing paper. :) :)

Thank you both for thinking of me - it really made my day. :) :)

Now I would like to pass it on to the lovely ladies below. Their blogs inspire me a lot. Pop over and check them out :) :)

There are a lot more blogs that I visit because they are great but it is just so darn difficult to choose.

1) Write a post with links to 5 blogs you find of interest and that inspire you.

2) Acknowledge the post of the award giver.

3) Display the logo 'You make my day'

.4) Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.

ATC Album and Mini Book for Marlou

I have altered an album I bought the other day for my ATC's. :) I stamped the flower image all over and painted, used the same techinque for the inset panel, used chipboard letters which I painted also. Added ribbon and stars as embelli's - just to page through now and enjoy my collection. :) :)

Do you remember that I posted up that I met my blog pal Marlou when I went to N.Irleand. Well I made her a mini book with the pics I took and she received it this morning. ;) :)

Here it is....

So pleased you like it Marlou, it was a pleasure making it:)

current challenge is to re-use plastic on your card.

I have used the plastic CD you get when you buy a spindle of CDs. I used alcohol inks on it and also on the actual card itself so it all tied in and when you open up the card it is all the same design. ;) :) Cut the card rounded at the top, stamped on plastic cd and finished off with flower, jewels and ribbons. :) :)

This view is from the top looking into card to try and show the same inked effect on the inside. ;) :)

Mother's Day card

Here is a card i started making back in N.Ireland but had to finish off back here at home.

It is my mum's mother's day card. Used a huge flower and dragonfly so she can see it well (she is partially sighted). Think I got the greeting big enough for her too. :) :)
I used a paper doily and chalked the flowers around the border.

Inchie Challenge

This week again over at Tjc I am setting the daily Inchie Challenge ( poor Traci is up to eyes, so it's just a wee favour to help out) :) Why don't you pop over and join in the Inchie Fun, it's only meant to be a quickie challenge - hence the 1" square. ;)

Today's challenge is - A STITCH IN TIME..

Here is my example......... I used this beautiful wee stamp the lovely Marlou gave me along with another stamp as a gift when I met her a couple of weeks ago - soo sweet, isn't she. :) :) Then I stitched and coloured it.

Look What My Sister Made Me........

..My wonderful sister Joani made me this beautiful booklet to say 'Goodbye' to me because I am leaving to go back Dorset tomorrow. It also enclosed a little gift of a gold heart and chain pendant. :) She had it secretly tucked into the pretty purple vellum envelope on the back page of the booklet. :):)

Baby Love.. the current challenge over at Caardvarks. This suited me so well because before I left Dorset to come to N.Ireland I made a card for my DH's neice who was expecting identical twin boys. :) She gave birth to them while I'm still in N.Ireland - but me being very clever LOL, emailed the piccies of the cards to my sis Joani so that I could post them up :) :) (good thinking, eh!) LOL.

Here is the card, it has the outside front view first, then the outside back view and then the inside front view then lastly the inside back view. I made it double-sided, one side each for each babe. I used DCVW papers and lots of die-cut embellishments, stickers inks etc. I kept the time, date and names of babes free for the new mum and dad to fill in. :) :)

Thanks for looking. :)

Charmed Cards and Crafts

Round 2 challenge is set by the lovely Juliet and it is to :- Alter a food container into something useful. Could be a coffee jar, tin, take away carton, pizza box -anything which you can recycle into something useful, but it's original purpose must have been to hold food. Extra points for hand doodling.
I have used a Laughing Cow Triangle Cheese box and altered it into a jewellery box. :) I used red velvet to cover box inside and out and lid. Used sponge inside too to lay jewellery on. Used ribbon and braiding, old jewellery and mini square tiles to decorate. Also used 3d paint for my doodling. I am pretty pleased with the result and it does look plush in real life. :) :)
