I was very honoured to have been asked to do a guest DT spot for This Thursday and I have really enjoyed creating my projects. ;) They have a wonderful prize to offer - so pop on over and check it out. ;) :)

My first project is a 4x4 - used a nice shiny brad and coil and pretty charm. :)

My second project is an acetate card - used triple embossing here and green glitter embossing powder on top layer. Painted tree with metallic/pearlescent paints.

And for my third project I altered an old hob cover I had burnt!!!! Now I wanted to create something that you would have seen in your grandmother's house at christmas - you know old fashioned - I think I have captured what I had in my mind, lol and am really pleased with the result. ;) :)

This is it before......

And after.....

I am still off work with the dreaded flu bug - can't believe it is lasting so long and am totally fed up with it all....but hey ho - well be well soon. ;)

Butterflies for a good cause

I have just read this over at Dawn's blog she got it off Dan's blog.

The Holocaust Museum in Houston is planning a major exhibition in Spring 2012, to commemorate the 1.5 million children who died during the Holocaust.

The museum is calling all crafters/stampers/scrapbookers to make some butterflies and send them to the museum they will then form part of an amazing display - 1 butterfly for each child that died during the holocaust. This is such a great chance to be part of something unique and so worthwhile.
The butterflies must be no larger than 8" x 10" and must NOT have any glitter on them.
Dan has created butterfly templates this week which are just brilliant to use for this.

Here is the LINK for the museum giving all the relevant information.

Crafty Templates DT work

Hi everyone - sorry I haven't been around much - but still got the dreaded flu bug..:( But however here is my project I completed for Crafty Templates. The lovely Leo sent me a project kit and this is was she wrote on her blog....

This months templates set includes a fun advent calendar project to follow and I set two of the design team to work making up the project in their own way to give you some more inspiration. I sent them a kit filled with some brand new Fancy Pants goodies from the 'Happy Holidays' range here's a peek of what I sent out:

So here it is - I really enjoyed making this and the kit is soo scrummy :) :)

Sorry the first picture is not brilliant - but I found it difficult to photo such a long project, lol
