the lovely Susieb herself. Susie is offering some wonderful candy - why not pop over there and see her - her blog and work is amazing. :) :) She is one talented lady and we have been blogging pals oo, for a good while now. :) :) :)
I needed a motorbike piccy for our friends birthday - all bikers!! Couldn't find what I wanted to drew this one myself, pleased with the result of it too. :) :) I printed the bike twice and layered it for some dimension, coloured it and added some 3D gloss. Used Kay&Co backing paper.
I also signed up for a PIF on my pal Fe-Fe's blog (t'was a mistake - oops, lol) Anyhows if anyone would like a PIF from me then just leave me a comment on this post saying you would like a PIF and I shall randomly choose a lucky blogger next Sunday. :)
I didn't realise it has almost been one week since I lasted posted here - wow, how time flies. :) I have been a bad blogging pal of late - not visiting all your wonderful sites - but will do some blog hopping now. :) :) :)
I bought this wooden cut cat bookend from a charity shop for the huge price of 50p lol - bargain eh?. It was just wood coloured, so I have painted it in black acrylic and then painted again with gold pearlescent watercolour to try and give a tabby effect :) I added some bling for her eye, gave her some wishers and nose and finally add bell and red ribbon. I am soo pleased how she has turned out and I really enjoyed doing it - simple things are often the best, lol :) :)
I've been tagged twice today by the lovely Lea and Karen and these are the questions I have to answer....
1. If a movie was being made of your life who would you like to be cast to play yourself? And why?
Oooh this is hard and it's only the first question! I think Demi Moore - I think she is excellent actress, playing tough roles or sensitive ones and my feelings cahnge like the wind, lol, so she would manage very well. :)
2. You are spending a whole month on a desert island for charity and you have to choose your favourite celebrity to spend the first two weeks with & your least favourite celebrity to spend the second two weeks with, who would they be & why?
My favourite celebrity would have to be Jon Bon Jovi - apart from him being gorgeous, he could sing when I feel low and apart from all that he is a really sweet guy. :)
I would hate most to be with Hugh Grant - I cannot stand him at all. :(
3. What are your three favourite crafting products?
My beautiful papers. My stamps because I love stamping. My wizard.
4. If you could invent something to do anything what do you think it would be?
It would be a food replicator that you see on star trek, mine would just be for food and it would be healthy with little drain on the energy.
5. What are the last three books that you read? Well I don't read really, but a few years ago I read Michael Palin, around the world in 80 days - I find him fascinating to listen to. :)
6. Qvc or create & Craft? Create and Craft.
7. Docrafts or Dovecraft or DCWV? DCWV.
8. What is your claim to fame?
Well lets see, I have met two guys from the Gladiators, The Batchelors, and The Big Yin - Billy connolly. :)
Over at Rattytatty's blog - the competition has just started for the Dovecraft - Laura Ashley. You have to make a card etc using Dovecraft products. :) :) I have decided to enter my Cosmetic Boot Holder and the The Vellum Flower, they are both made with Dovecraft paper. :) :)
I made this card for my nephew Jason for passing his driving test. :) I wanted to do something a little unique for him - so I have drawn all the images myself. :) I have also doodled around the backing paper - first time for me doodling really. :) :)
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- Also here is a card I have made from the image swap over at PCJ. The image came from Dawn, she has just started her blog - pop over and check it out. :) :)
blog candy from our lovely Louly was waiting for me when I got in from work today.:) What a great way to start the weekend eh! I won it by being one of the first 4 people to make a card using Louly's new Dottie images - they are fab and you can get them over at Charmed.
Thank you Louly - it is fab and very generous of you. :) :)
Here is a L/O of me and my son on his 21st birthday. That is us just grabbing a few quiet moments for the piccy before re-joining the noisy celebrations. :) :) It was Jay from PCJ who inspired me with her sketch challenge to do this page. :)
I received today from Crafty Templates. Do you remember this Cosmetic Boot Holder I made from a template from crafty templates - well it won :) :)
Leonora from crafty templates contacted me today telling me it had won and she has also offered me a Guest Designer Spot....Well, what could I say, I was gob smacked and over the moon, how could I resist so I got straight back to her and accepted. :) :) So watch out for next month - and you will see what I came up with. May give you a wee sneak peek nearer the time. LOL
This award originates from the Spanish blog Arte Y Pico and there are 5 rules attached, they are: 1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community, no matter what language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4) Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link "Arte Y Pico" blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
I also have this card for a challenge over at Charmed. This challenge was set by our lovely Louly and she wrote.....
Right ladies this is a nice easy one, so easy in fact I’m only giving you a week to do it (evil laugh). To celebrate the launch of Dottie I challenge you to make a ‘Dottie’ card (Dottie the character, not polka dots LOL). Don’t panic if you don’t have any Dottie’s because I’ve drawn a free, exclusive Charmed Dottie, only available to forum members who take part in this challenge, you can use her as much as you like after that but only if you take part in the fun! (you can leave out the sentiment if you wish)
