A simple challenge this week....long post

over at The Crafty Pad challenge site. :) It is 'Simply a Christmas Card'

Nice and easy to get those christmas cards made - not long to go before the festive season is upon us. :) Oooh and I can' wait. :)

I have made two cards this week for the challenge :-

My first easel card, using the fabulous tutorial by our lovely Maxine and a shaker card. The tutorial can be found on The Crafty Pad site. :)

Here is the easel card:-

I have used Percy Penguin - sleding stamp (of course from the Crafty Pad).  I stamped the image twice and cut one out and laid the second image on top - sort of masking, but not the correct way if you know what I mean..lol.  Also used nesties and Promarkers to colour. I didn't have any red brads so I inked and heat embossed them.

Here is my shaker card :-

I have used Christmas Ted with Sled stamp for this card.  Coloured with Promarkers, papers are Papermania.  The actual dome for the shaker has been recycled from a packet of chocolate tree decs..lol.  I couldn't resist using it - it is quite large and I have tried to take pics at different angles so that you can see the full effect of it..lol  I must say it does look good in real life when it is stood up. :) :)

All stamps used are available from HERE

Please do pop over to The Crafty Pad and see all the fabulous inspiration from the DT members and from the great GDT's - you won't be sorry. :) :)

Thanks for looking. :)

We have a.....

sketch for you over at The Crafty Pad challenge site to help get those Christmas cards made. :)
Hope you are getting through your long list that you have to make - I still have quite a few to do..:)

Here is the sketch :-

Here is my take on it. I have altered a 'tin' to make a Christmas card and it would make a great idea too if you wanted to pop some money into to it aswell. :)

I have used some spotty felt, Imaginisce Snowy Joe papers, Christmas Ted - Tree, Christmas Ted Baubles & Text stamps (love these stamps, they are available from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs of course) and some Stickles to bling it up a bit. :)

Do pop over to The Crafty Pad and see all the fabulous inspiration in store for you - the DT and GDT members have all done a brilliant job. :)

There is also still time for you to join in with the Candle Giveaway - pop over and check out the details. :) :)

Thanks for looking

I made this candle for my lovely friend Rozzy, but had forgotten to take pics of it - so she kindly took the photos and emailed them to me - thanks Roz. :)

A Triangle.........

I remembered this week..lol The Challenge over at The Crafty Pad challenge site is a 'Triangle' have a triangular shape on your card or make the whole card triangular.

Here are two very quick and easy cards from me this week :-

For the first card I have used Christmas Ted - bringing home his Christmas Tree stamp from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs.  BP is Shabby Princess Holiday Downloads.  CB embossing folder, glitter glue, ribbon and rub-ons from stash.

For the second card I have used Christmas Ted stamp again (I love this stamp). BP is Papermania - I think. Tore the words out of the sheet of paper and glued on.  I also used puffy paint which I lightly smeared on just to give a textured look.

Look what I received from my lovely friend Rozzy. This is her DT make for The Crafty Pad challenge this week too - and I can tell you that it is absolutely gorgeous in real life. It now has pride of place in my living room. :) Thank you so much Rozzy I love it to bits. :)

Do pop over to The Crafty Pad and check out the challenge - lots of wonderful inspiration from the DT and GDT members. :)
The Sale is underway over at The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs too and of course don't forget about the Blog Candy Giveway there too - 1 more week to run. :) :)

Thanks for loooking and hope all my wonderful blogging pals are doing ok. :) :)

Big Oops!!!!

I really don't know where my head has gone - if anyone finds it please post it back to me..lol

I forgot to post up this card I made for The Crafty Pad challenge which of course runs from Sunday to Sunday.

It is following a sketch drawn up by our lovely Maxine - here is my take on it :-

I have used Percy Penguin - stargazing stamp from The Crafty Pad.
The main card is actually backed with a fine material which has glittery bits all over it - it reminded me of glistening snow..lol
Blue foil - BC embossing folder - nesties - Promarkers
I have to say that this card is much nicer looking in real life - honest.  It was difficult to get the effect of the glittery material.

Thanks for looking :)

I would also like to say a huge sorry to all my wonderful blogging pals - I haven't been around to visit you for a while now - but I will get there - please bear with me. :) :)  I may go all quiet for a few days before I do so though..:) :)
