It is a pocket card and I got it from Card Making Downloads. It is such a fun card and perfect for any wee boy that loves Space.
I ran out of black ink and had to improvise by using black card for the backing which I doodled on with a White Jelly Soft pen. :)

Phew that was a bit long wasn't it..lol...but I have finished yet - Here are a couple of cards I have made with my NEW RELEASES.....

The first card is made using the Pocket Watch Card Front - it has been designed for a quick card - we all need them..:)
Printed directly onto coloured cardstock. Pocket Watch has been layered up. Glossy accents, flat backed pearls, lace, glamour dust to decorate. Flower and my own posh pin to finish.

Now for the second card - it has been made using the Rose Card Front, Purple Background..

Printed directly onto white card stock. Rose has been layered. Glamour dust to highlight, one of my posh pins and wire to decorate. :)

Decorated jar...

This is a wee jar I picked up in a charity shop. Wondered for a while what I was going to do with it - hmmmm..but had some pot pourri left over.

I filled it with the pot pourri. Used some florist's cellophane to close (didn't have a lid). Punched some leaves, added some lace and flower and posh pins. I then spritzed it with some perfect pearls.
The two narrow posh pins I bought from my lovely pal Marlou from her Etsy shop HERE. :)

Distressed and Torn......

That is what the challenge is over at The Crafty Pad this week..:)

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed making this card.

DP are Prima
Image is Ladies Hat from The Crafty Pad Designs, which I coloured with Promarkers and scrunched the whole image up before distressing with inks. I then tripple embossed the image, then cracked it for a distressed look.
The key, adhesive pearls and large brad I distressed with alcoholic inks. On the large brad I then removed most of the ink to give a real oldy look.
The posh hat pin I made myself using our lovely Leesa's tutorial.
Lace, flower and leaves from stash.

I really do love using this butterfly and verse set - it is so versatile and suits lots of occasions. :)

My handbag card......

Here is a handbag card I made for my sister's birthday. I am really pleased how it has turned out and my sis was delighted with it too. :)

I found this gorgeous handbag card on INKIDO blog and she has made a tute on it as she had found the Pia's blog.

The main image stamps are from Paper Bag Studios

I have used Velcro for the closure
The handle is made from beads from my stash threaded onto wire and attached using eyelets.

I have made some few Posh Pins - I have followed the fabulous tutorial on The Crafty Pad and the tutorial was made by The Navy Wife
It was so easy to follow and I thoroughly enjoyed creating my new pins...here they are.....

Can't wait to use them now. They will make beautiful embellishments to make your card a touch more special. :)

Something Clear.....

That is what our challenge is over at The Crafty Pad this week.....and we have all been extremely lucky to have received some Safmat and Letratac to play with from Letraset.

I was so excited as I have never used either before and I sure had some fun playing with it. :)
We all had great fun using it and many thanks to Letraset for supplying it. :)

This is what I finally made.......

I Altered a Baby Milk Powder Can

The tin was covered with American Crafts DP - Letratac was used to adhere the paper to the tin. The inside of the tin is also covered with the DP. I found the Letratac so easy to use - I did use PVA on the edges of the paper to make sure it will stay adhered for months to come.

The edges of the lid and top of the tin are edged in adhesive Lace Ribbon.

For the bows and ribbon borders I have used the sheer ribbon edged with gold - very kindly supplied by Crafty Ribbons

I printed the Rose image and sentiments onto the Safmat. The image was coloured in digitally on the pc. I have to say I was really impressed with the Safmat - it printed beautifully and was so easy to use. As you can see it printed both the coloured image and uncoloured sentiment tickets perfectly.

I think it gives a great effect directly over the DP.

All images used are of course from The Crafty Pad Designs

The tin is a large sized tin and will be filled with lots of 'girlie' goodies' and given to my sis for part of her birthday gift. I will cover it with florist Cellophane to complete the gift. :)

I also made a notebook.....

Again the sentiment ticket was printed onto the Safmat. :)

Another tutorial for making a photo board....

See I have been crafting really - even though I haven't blogged it..lol

This is my tutorial for making a photo/card holder for your wall.
I have used a bought canvas for this project but of course, you can use whatever size you prefer.

Paint your canvas your chosen colour. I have used Metallic Water Colours – Lilac for mine. Allow to dry. Now choose your colours of ribbons – I have used Grosgrain ribbon. It is stronger than most and does not fray easily.

For the first layer -
Lay your ribbons diagonally across your canvas starting in the middle and working outwards leaving equal spaces as you go. I have used 9 lengths of ribbon.

When you are happy with your layout lightly mark the edges of the canvas for the final position of the ribbons. Using a staple gun, pull your ribbon tightly and staple your ribbon to the wooden frame on the back of the canvas. Start with the centre ribbon and then continue stapling the ribbons until the first layer has covered the canvas.

For the second layer of ribbons –
Starting from the centre of the canvas again, lay your ribbons diagonally the opposite way to the first layer. This will create a ‘trellis’ pattern. Keep your ribbons at equal spaces again. I have used 7 ribbons on this layer.

When you are happy with the position of the second layer – mark the position again lightly.

Turn your canvas over and staple one end of the ribbon – DO NOT staple the other end at this stage. You will now need to thread the ribbon under and over the first layer alternating as you go.
Do this for all 7 ribbons.

The other end of the ribbons can be stapled once you are happy with the alternating – don’t forget to pull the ribbon tight before stapling.

Now you have a great photo/card holder.

I have used mine for holding cards I have made from The Crafty Pad Designs images.
I have also added a few photos of my beautiful grand daughter to show it can be used for either or both together.

How to make a Ribbon Rosette

Sorry it has been a long time again since I have blogged..

This is my tutorial for making a Father’s Day Rosette – I have made a card to match and put the rosette on the card so that it can be removed and worn......so it is a card and a matching gift. :)
There are 2 rosettes, the first one I have used the pre-coloured Rosette from The Crafty Pad Designs HERE and the second one is using the uncoloured image and a different way to use the ribbons. :)

Supplies:
Rosette image
Grosgrain Ribbons – very kindly supplied for this tutorial by Crafty Ribbons
Hot Glue Gun
Needle and Thread

1. I sized my coloured rosette at 10cm in length and printed off 3 times. Cut out 2 full images and the 3rd image you will only require the centre of the image.

2. Using Grosgrain ribbon – Yellow colour, width 16mm an approximately 100cm length,Thread your needle with matching thread of ribbon ( I have used white for this tutorial)Now tack (running stitch) all the way along the lower edge of ribbon.

3. Gather the ribbon together quite tightly until the length of ribbon is gathered, check that the length when curved will fit the inner circle of the rosette and secure with your last stitch.

4. Form your gathered ribbon into a circle of the size needed and check that it fits onto the main rosette image and that the centre image will fit on top of the gathered ribbon circle. Cut off the tails of the image and now cut 2 lengths of the remaining ribbon for the rosette tails and glue to the main rosette image.

5. Using a hot glue gun or similar strong glue – glue your gathered ribbon around the printed rosette. Don’t worry that the gathered ribbon is too long – just curve it into the centre of the image, this will help support your centre image.

6. Now using the hot glue gun stick your centre printed image onto the gathered ribbon and ensure it is flat and even.

7. I have put a safety pin on the back of the rosette and secured with the hot glue gun. :)
Your rosette is now complete and all ready to use on your matching card.

Here is the card I have made as an example –

and with the rosette attached.

I have used low tack tape to stick the ribbon rosette to the one on the card – so that it can be easily removed and worn. :)

8. Here is the second rosette made slightly differently. This one is made using 2 co-ordinating grosgrain ribbons – 16mm wide Red Grosgrain and the other 10mm wide Gold Grosgrain.

9. We are going to use the un-coloured version of the Rosette image. I have coloured mine using Crimson and Amber Promarkers, but decided I would use the pre-coloured centre instead - the choice is yours. :)

10. Use the same steps of printing and cutting out the image.
11. We are going to use a different method for making the rosette – cut 15 pieces of the 10mm ribbon to 4cm in length and glue one end of each in place with hot glue gun.

12. Now using the glue gun glue each length over on top of itself to form a loop.

13. After cutting off the image tails cut and glue the 2 widths of ribbon to the length of your tails
14. Using the 16mm ribbon tack stitch, gather and secure ends and form a circular shape as we did in step 3, this time it should fit in the centre of your looped ribbon. Make sure your printed centre image will fit on top of it. Glue all together as we did in step 6 and 7.

15. Add a safety pin on the back so that it can be worn. :)
16. Now you have finished your rosette.

No crafting from me but have a couple of things to show you all that have been made by Clare my almost daughter inlaw (Heidi's mum).....:)

But before I show you them - I would like to say that she has not made a card before and she wanted to try out the triple embossing - she was most impressed with this techinque. :)

Its Been A Long Time

Oooh it has been a long time since I was on my blog - apologies to eveyone.

I have been busy setting up a new website instead of using the Blog to sell my images.

A Beautiful Baby is born..

Yayyy our first grand child was born yesterday - a beautiful baby girl - Heidi. Mum, Dad and baby are doing well. :)
We are all so chuffed and proud ..here is a photo of her when she was first born..

And here are some of the things I have made for the new parents and baby..

first a paper bouquet of flowers - I did this to keep me busy whilst waiting to hear the news - I didn't have any wire, florist tape or dry oasis, so I used a kitchen scouring pad, BBq skewers lol.

I made this baby shoe and box - I used the template and backing papers from Card Making Downloads

I crochet the blanket the shoe is sitting on too. :)

And here is their card and box...

Challenge and news

Sorry I haven't been around for a wee while.. but I am back today with my card for The Crafty Pad Challenge. :)

The challenge is HEARTS - very appropriate for Valentine's Day. :)

Here is my take on the challenge :-

I have made a booklet type card :-

Image - Teds in Love from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs - HERE

I decoupaged the Teds.

Sentiment Tickets from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs - HERE

Coloured with Coloursoft pencils and Sansador

The book is made using red cardstock cut into 2 equal lengths

Embossed using the CB Swirls embossing folder

Holes punched and line scored to allow the pages to open,

narrow white ribbon to cover score line and to join pages together.

Hearts punched in silver mirri card.

For the last page I used the heart that surrounds the Teds image

but erased the Ted in my photographic programme. This will

allow me to write my own personal message. :) :)

Here is my take on it :-

I have used the Snowmen image from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs

Coloured with Promarkers and decorated with Glamout Dust and

some puffy paint for the snow effect.

I over stamp the pale paper with a snowflake stamp

I created my own sentiment .

CHRISTMAS SPARKLE

and here is my take on it...

I have altered a 12" canvas to make a Christmas Decoration for hanging. :)

I painted the 12" canvas with Red Acrylic paint

Printed and coloured Holly & Harvey Mice with Mistleto

~coloured with Promarkers and used Glossy accents for the berry

Used stickles on the large doily

Glamour dust to decorate the outer rim of canvas, flowers, leaves and lettering

spell binders letters

Ribbons and charm from stash.

I really enjoying making this and it does look great when hanging up - it is such a fab size too. :)

Altered Shell

I took a notion yesterday to alter this shell..it is a flat shell. I can't think for the life of me what it is called....lol, so if you know I would be grateful. :)
Anyways I altered it in view of having it hanging up somewhere. :)

Here it is:

I have used Adirondac Alcohol inks - Sunshine Yellow, Pesto, Pool. I also use Marcy Gold Metallics pen.
Flat backed pearls to decorate around the edge.
Pearl beads threaded on wire above the lace.
Lace and flowers from stash - stickles to decorate centre of flower.

Fabby Dabby News....:)

I just wanted to share with you all that my OH and I are going to be grand parents (first time for us)...:) :) We are sooooo chuffed we cannot wait. :)

They had their 12 week scan on monday. :) :) It was also my mum's birthday on monday too (the first birthday since she passed away last year) - so the scan date was extra special for me. :)

I had quite an emotional day on monday - but all sorted straight again. :)

I have made a wee 7x5 album for the baby scans and will add the 20 week scans to it too. It is just a wee photo album rather than a scrap album.

We have called the baby - Baby M - (baby Moore) lol for now..:)

and here is Baby M - I think the scan is very clear...:) There are 5 scan pics but I am sure you wouldn't want to see all 5.

Baby due end of February - so fingers crossed all goes well.

I made these cards before I fractured my finger but never uploaded them. They were for previous challenges at The Crafty Pad. :)

The first card is using the Fancy Ladies Boots - I paper pieced the boots and add some embroidery thread as the laces. Flowers are punched using MS punch and seed beads added to the centres. Circular nesties used.

The second card I used the Fluffy Slipper, coloured with Promarkers and added Stickles. I used Glossy Accents to the heel and insole of the slipper. Glued it on with 3D glue dots. Oval nesties, sirl and swiss dot emossing folders. MS border punch. Bow, flowers and sentiment from stock.

Sorry for not being around on Mr Blogger! We had family come to stay with us from New Zealand and from N. Ireland - everyone came for my hubby's big 50th birthday.
We had a fabulous time - but very busy indeed. Also have been sight seeing alot and went to London and Paris too.
Then on the last week of my visitors being here I slammed the car door on my finger - and as a result I have a compound fracture....Grrrrr So it is all strapped up now with a plastic guard over it to keep it straight...what am I like????? I have only another 4 weeks to go...lol
So typing was very difficult at the beginning but a tad easier now. :)
I haven't been crafting - but hope to get back to it soon. :)

Recycle someting before it goes into the bin...

it can be anything you like. :)

Here is my take on the challenge

I have used Anna by the gate clear stamp and coloured with promakers.

The flower and swirl back ground have been made using an old beer can -

coloured with alcholic inks, embossed with Swirl CB folder. It makes a

great background and sharpens your paper trimmer too..:)

The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from the Anna Range of clear stamps also..

it has been stamped onto a piece of plastic milk container.

Ribbon is from a an old T.shirt and button inside flower hs been rescued

from an old sweater.

I really enjoyed making this card and I do love to reuse items if I can.

Few makes to show and Free Verse....

I have a few makes to show - yayyyy. :) I have had major probs with my pc and had to re-write my hard drive etc (with the help of a dear friend's hubby). Hence why my DT work has not been posted for The Crafty Pad. But the pc is up and running sweet again - huge sigh of relief..lol

British Summer Time begins...

Yayyyyyy - another hour of light in the evenings..:) :)

The challenge over at The Crafty Pad is a colour combo of:

Yellow, Orange and Green

Here is my take on the challenge I have altered a CD.....

I have used the Butterflies and Verse stamp set - available HERE in digi stamp or clear stamps.

I stamped the butterflies onto patterned paper and heat embossed with Black glitter EP,

cut them out and layered up with silicone glue, added some black gems down the butterfly's body.

I covered the cd with patterned paper and stamped directly on to it.

I had two huge flowers which I cut the petals off and glued each one to the back of the cd.

I punched a hole in the cd with my crop-o-dile and fed the ribbon through, added small butterfly and gem to finish the top.

I punched another hole at the bottom which I fed through the wired beads with charm.

Added butterfly on top to finish the whole cd off. :)

I think the cd looks like the centre of a flower..:) :)

As you know it is challenge day over at The crafty pad. But before I get to that I would like to share some fanastic news with you all. :) :)

Another week has gone past and still no crafting from me. I have been so busy trying to catch up with things - always got an excuse..lol.

It is a spring up card. Joani has used the Butterflies and Verse stamp set here too. The butterflies have been stamped on to vellum. The verse has been stamped as a background and a beautiful wicker fan as been added to give a perfect finishing touch and add more dimension.

First of all I would like to apologise for the lateness of this post - I think I have gremlins living with me..lol.
I hadn't been online for a while because I thought I had pulled a muscle in my eye but turned out it is sinus infection.
Then now that is on the road to recovery I go online again only to discover my broadband is playing up - sooooo slow - then nothing - dead-as-a-do-do..... so I got up this morning all ready to re-install and re-set the router only to find I am back up and running (for the time being anyway?) C.R.A.F.T. challenge and GDT card

We went out last night to see Cher and Meatloaf tribute bands - they were very good and we had a brilliant time. :)

I made this wall plaque from a polystyrene pizza base (took inspiration from Suzi's tutorial which is on The Craft Pad).
It is obviously for a little boy - for his new bedroom.
The image is a Digi (available from HERE ) It is called Patch Flying.

I covered the polystyrene base with card stock on both

side to strengthen it. Paper is DCVW. Letters cut with spellbinder

dies. Anitias 3D gloss to highlight. Brads and ribbon from stash. :)

Here is my take on the recipe

I have used Roshell & Eggward stamp (from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs)

you can them here

Papers are American Crafts, oval nesties, Promarkers to colour,

Lace border, stamps and flower from stash. Hearts are punched.

I used Anitas 3D gloss to highlight.

Quirky Crafts Challenge..and Trimmie Craft Challenge

I am entering this into the CRAFT challenge too - their challenge this week is RED.. :) :)

As you know I (The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs) is sponsoring Quirky Crafts for their fortnightly challenges this month. Their new challenge is out today which is Teddy Bears - any crafty project is suitable as long as you have a bear on it. A nice easy one to join in with eh?

There are 2 Crafty Pad stamps to be won. :) :)

They kindly asked me to do GDT again and this is what I came up with......

An altered mini dart board cover - all will be revealed as you scroll down..lol

It is a mini tutorial if you fancy giving it a go :-

I have used this mini wooden dart board cover - but

you could use a small box or tin.

I used Tim Holtz alcohol ink - Pool Blue

to dab over all over the wood.

This is the effect it gave

Create the wording on the PC as shown in the picture below -

I used natural coloured card for this.

Using the Ted - Hugs stamp or digi download (from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs)

HERE

Colour as preferred.

Cut 3 pieces of ribbed card to the size you require

to cover your surfaces and adhere your image,

and wording onto 2 of them.

Cut another smaller piece to suit the size of you sentiment and adhere.

Now adhere all the elements as shown below.

I have added red heart shaped brads and

also silver mirri card punched hearts.

I also used Anita's 3D gloss to the word 'HUGS' on Ted.

That is it - now you have some 'HUGS'

you can give to someone for them to keep

and use as they need them..lol
